My name is Laurence Hegan and I have formed Shimna a
Psychotherapy, Training, Practice development and Consultancy service based in the Bournemouth and Poole conurbation to offer a confidential psychotherapy & counselling service, based on Gestalt principles, to individuals and couples, as well as ongoing group therapy, organisational consulting and training in all aspects of communication skills, including motivational interviewing, and stress problems, across the South of England and potentially beyond.
I am a qualified UKCP registered professional Psychotherapist with many years experience of working in a number of specialist fields, individually and in groups & a registered Mental Health Nurse, with over 20 years experience in a variety of inpatient and community settings in the NHS. Experience in both fields includes mental health, substance misuse including alcohol and abuse issues including those with complex presentations such as dual diagnosis and those with personality disorders.
